Chemical Face Peel
Chemical Face Peel
What is chemical face peels?
Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers or the top layer so that a new skin layer can regenerate. The new skin is smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin, and may also be more even in color. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation.
Chemical peels use several types of acid solutions to improve and smooth the texture of your facial skin but alpha hydroxy acids (AHA's), trichloroacetic acids (TCA) and phenol are the most popular in the chemical face peel. The AHA's peels can provide smoother, brighter-looking skin for people who can't spare the time to recover from a phenol or TCA peel. The TCA is most commonly used for medium-depth peeling. Fine surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes and pigment problems are commonly treated with TCA. Although chemical peels may be done in conjunction with a facelift, the peel is not a substitute for that surgery, nor will it stop aging. A chemical peel is most useful for fine wrinkles on cheeks, forehead and around the eyes and the vertical wrinkles around the mouth.
